A few weeks ago I participated in Startup Weekend DC.  Along with 7 other individuals with various backgrounds the DC metro area a tech Startup “PiNEAPPLE: One Stop Corner Shop” was created to address Food Deserts in DC.  Through a mobile enabled web-based platform, that utilizes USDA data a time friendly, and cost-effective dinner kits that you order online will be made available at your local corner store! Our business model will accept SNAP (EBT) & Credit Cards!  Think it makes CENTS? So did Startup Weekend!
