I have always loved the Washington City Paper! Maybe I am a little bias, I have been mentioned in the publication a few times. They have really out done themselves this time. If you have not caught the Election edition make sure and check out this article- DC Politics Loves the Eighties !! One thing that has been a trip during the elections is how Fenty canvassers have approached me and assumed that I would be voting for him. What a hoot. I actually was undecided until two weeks ago until I saw someone with a bucket of cement around midnight in front of the Howard Theatre fixing the curbs. I said to the man “Wow, this is a nice time to get work done,” and he said “yes, the Mayor is having a press conference tomorrow for a ground breaking tomorrow of the Howard Theatre.” Unacceptable. Of all the things that the mayor could have chosen to work on around the Howard Theatre the curbs should not have been one of them. Here are a few other items that he could focus on:
1. Crime
2. Open drug sales
3. Youth loitering (love my youth of today)
4. Small business Development
5. Adult loitering ; /
and. . . this is why I voted for Gray.
